   urletul iese un milimetru în afara gurii

   și cade la pământ.

   și știi ce, i-am spus protectoare

   când eram mică îmi înveleam manualele în hârtie,

   nu în coperte strălucitoare  

   era maro dar acum există și colorată

   hârtie colorată!

   îți poți alege culoarea preferată

    

   nu e nimeni pe hol deci nu lăsa becul aprins 

   am apucat să strig

   în timp ce fiică-mea își târa pijamaua 

   spre pat

    

   becul ăla nu ține de frig.

   N-ai întors decât parțial capul

   n-ai spus stai jos

   ți-ai continuat discuția incoerentă despre poezie

   ca și cum ai fi zărit prin mine

   o fracțiune de secundă

   năvălind 

   sfârșitul.

   her limpid blue eyes

   blinking on the beat of the cash register

    

   the ability to handle tens of knives

   with my thoughts ever further from my hands

   at the other end of the world where

   falteringly step out of your bed

    

   cross the hall and in front of the

   mirror study the map

   which the worn-out pillow case imprinted on your cheek:

    

   I am alone

   and things looked upon too long

   slowly

   să am siguranța vânzătoarei de pâine

   ochii ei limpezi albaștri

   care clipesc în ritmul casei de marcat

   la celălalt capăt al lumii unde te ridici

   am fost bătrână dar acum sunt bine

   nici nu mai știu dacă le-ai spus vreodată sau doar 

   îmi imaginez că le-ai spus

   stau în fotoliul meu rupt și ascult râsete din bucătărie

   anunțând mica beție alimentară

    

   urmează înviorarea 

   vom obține credite cu ele vom achita facturi

   și rate și alimente sănătoase vom avea burta plină va fi cald 

   vom pune benzină și vom călători în jurul blocului mereu în jurul blocului
