Nikola Gjelincheski

Nikola Gjelincheski (B.A. in English Language and Literature) is a translator and teacher, born in 1988 in Struga, Macedonia. Since 2010 he has worked as a teacher of English and Spanish in various teaching contexts, with focus on courses for creative writing and drama for children.

He is a member of the Macedonian Association of Translators and Interpreters – MATA and the English Language Teachers' Association of Macedonia – ELTAM. In 2014 he won the BABYLON AWARD- Best Young Translator Award – third place, for the translation from English into Macedonian of parts from "A Dance with Dragons" by George R.R.Martin. The competition is organized by The Delegation of the European Union and MATA Translators' Association. The following year in 2015, he won BABYLON AWARD - Best Young Translator Honorary Mention awarded for "creativity in translation" from English into Macedonian of parts from "Railsea" by China Tom Miéville.
