Much light despite the clouds
as big as a man's legs
breasts like puffed-up bans
in Veneti's shop window, someone annoyed
with a sore in his mouth
his son with his morning woody
was off school in an hour
clean-cut cheeks that remind of self-improvement books
cash-strapped dudes that read “The Shipowner”
Snitches with Virgin Mary as their tax technician
Zackie Oh, there are ten Brazilian trans women
showing you
the bullets in their body
Zackie Oh, listen to the song of Zelim
hidden in a Chechen field
Zackie Oh, there was Tosca in the opera house
while they were shooting Milk
Zackie Oh, Kevin was a rapper in Puerto Rico
Zackie Oh, Matthew Shepard came to be the most purple
Wyoming scarecrow
Zackie Oh, Joe Rose of Montreal had
fuchsia hair
Zackie Oh, the forty-nine are dancing in Orlando
to Rihanna
Zackie Oh, in Pangrati they are pouring bleach on couples
Zackie Oh, in the tabloids
they are seeking protection from thieves
art connoisseurs so highly educated
that you'd reckon they'd have a hole in their bellies
made by Engonopoulos
Zackie Oh, it’s the middle of September, the day of the Holy Cross
when I was in high school, a priest terrified me
with a tale of exquisite angels
who landed on Earth and were chased
by faggots to get raped
Zackie Oh, the knife never had
our fingerprint
Zackie Oh, your parents loved you and yesterday
on the train – Ouch! – Shouted one
of the two brothers while roughly playing
rock paper scissors
Zackie Oh, your brother loved you
Zackie Oh, someone was raised in a village
he had a crush on a little girl when he was ten
in his childhood carpentry shop, he received his first kiss
held her hand as he was kicking
rotten lemons in the street
then he wore a uniform and found himself in Gladstone Street.
Zackie Oh, in a house in Gyzi Street I was laying
With a curly-haired boy
He was perched on my chest
With his eyes wide open - afraid I'd steal him
Zackie Oh, I gave a rose to the boy
When his grandfather died
He cried like a child in Moria camp
Zackie Oh, they won’t smash my body
in Gladstone Street
without resistance
