In Plain Sight is a spoken-word performance set to a jazz fusion soundscape – a hypnotic interplay of rhythm, melody, and confession. The piece unfolds as an intimate portrait of connection, capturing the subtle magnetism between two kindred spirits. Each gesture, each glance, becomes a note in a larger composition of tenderness and longing.
The language moves like music – fluid, improvisational, attuned to breath and heartbeat – echoing the spontaneity of jazz itself. Beneath its lyrical surface runs a quiet current of devotion: a reverence for the other’s integrity, artistry, and human warmth.
Its jazz-inflected cadence mirrors the improvisational nature of the connection itself – fluid, unpredictable, deeply felt. Through its melodic language and emotional nuance, the work becomes both an ode and an invocation – to presence, devotion, and the quiet alchemy between two souls attuned to the same frequency.
The project is part of the subtheme Unruly Forms – Experiments in the Poetic Wild.
