Festival of Hope 2
Three Irish poets whose work looks to the former Soviet Union. Polina Cosgrave is a Russian-raised Irish poet who writes in English about her mixed heritage. Leeanne Quinn’s latest book includes many poems detailing the lives of major Soviet literary dissidents such as Mandelstam, Tsvetaeva and Akhmatova. Gerry Murphy reads a selection of his work which references the Soviet Union, totalitarianism and conflictual ideologies.
