The event was curated by the Mauritian poet and activist Tania Haberland, now living in Italy, that connected Italy and Mauritius gathering contributions by poets, artists and activists from Mauritius and Italy to inform, sensitize and collect funds for the ecological crises currently occurring on this small island, caused by the Wakashio Oil Spill in the ocean of Mauritius on 25th July.
