Poetry Week 2023

The Poetry Week is organized since 2000 in Flanders and the Netherlands. It starts at the last Thursday of January with ‘Poem Day’.
The Poetry Week is a big, easy accessible campaign for poetry for schools, libraries and bookstores. A lot of other organizations, even political and journalistic ones, are also setting something up in the context of the Poetry Week.

The theme in 2023 is ‘Friendship’.

The coordination is by Poeziecentrum in Ghent, Belgium. A lot of poetry partners gathered in the so-called ‘Poetry Table’, support and collaborate.
