Jaka Škapin

Jaka Škapin is a transdisciplinary artist, composer and vocal improviser whose work bridges the realms of music, theatre and poetry. Rooted in an exploration of the human voice, his artistic practice delves into vocal improvisation, experimental composition and performative storytelling. Through a deeply embodied approach, he investigates the intersections of language, sound and movement, often engaging in projects that challenge conventional structures of expression.

With a background in diverse musical traditions, theatre and sound design, Škapin creates immersive performances that blend raw vocal textures, improvisational freedom and poetic inquiry. His solo work, as well as his collaborations across disciplines, reflects a commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and reimagining the voice as a dynamic tool for storytelling, emotional depth and cultural dialogue.
