Transformation is a solo performance unfolding in three ritual acts of poetry, spellwork, and soundscape. In this immersive ceremony, Yzaura summons memory, aging, and identity, confronting the urgency to preserve what matters before it dissolves into silence.
The poems “Cooking,” “it’s right between my toes,” “Embrace,” “Write, Write, Write,” and “Words” form a continuous arc. The performance moves from ancestral memory simmering in the kitchen, through the intimate presence of abuelita, toward the sacred reckoning of aging and the fierce need to write before memory fades—before time’s vultures claim what remains unspoken. Live looping and music weave layers of voice and atmosphere, transforming storytelling into ritual and presence into invocation.
Transformation is an invitation to feel rather than observe. To remember your grandmother’s smile. To witness your many selves. To stand at the threshold of past and future with open senses.
Come ready to listen with more than your ears.
Leave changed—or simply more yourself.
The project is part of the subtheme The Poetics of Care – Intimacy, Tenderness, Repair.
