Yarilla

Yarilla is a neo-folk project by Alexandra Shkodrova that explores the universal language of grief and rebirth through music and spoken word. Rooted in emotional intensity and ritual presence, the project seeks to articulate shared human experiences that move beyond language and culture.

On stage, Yarilla performs using voice, a looper, and ethnic instruments, building layered soundscapes that evolve in real time. Through repetition, resonance, and vocal expression, the performance traces inner transformation and vulnerability, offering an embodied reflection on what it ultimately means to be human.
