VOLA: A Love Poetic of Falling, Mending, and Emotional Truth
Poetry Expo 2026
VOLA exposes the tension between what we feel and what we are allowed to live. It is a tribute to emotional truth, showing how love can wound and resurrect, leading us back to ourselves. Through Maria’s confession, the performance celebrates vulnerability, the courage not to settle, and the power of embracing one’s inner flow.
The project is part of the subtheme The Poetics of Care – Intimacy, Tenderness, Repair.
Author
Giulia Terenzi
Giulia Terenzi (Urbino, 1990) has nurtured a passion for words and writing since childhood—tools that have opened the doors to different worlds and cultures.
In 2016, thanks to the Golden Selection Award, she published her first poetry collection "Balla", which marked the beginning of her artistic collaborations as a poet, reader, and singer. After receiving several literary awards, in 2019 she was among the winners of the Montefiore Conca Literary Prize, through which she published her second collection "Vola". The work later evolved into a theatre performance, awarded at the GAD Festival in Pesaro in 2021, where poetic language meets music and stagecraft in a new expressive form.
Among her most recent recognitions, the Museum of Rock in Catanzaro awarded her a mention of honour for a poem from her unpublished collection "Le Frecce di Sebastiano" (La Magia), confirming an artistic path in constant evolution, where poetry intertwines with voice and shared emotion.
With a degree from the School of Interpreters and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, she also works as a project manager in the educational field, blending art and career guidance, travelling across various countries and turning each experience into an ongoing search for human and cultural connections.
