Gotta Be God – absolute poetic trinity

Poetry Expo 2026

Gotta Be God is a condensed poetic trilogy that explores the dialectics of yearning toward a fractal Absolute. The work asks where the human resides amid chaotic nature, unstable histories, and an uncertain mind.

The video component follows transformations of the author’s meditative body within natural landscapes. Through the multiplication of the image, these bodily figures become totemic – at once mesmerising and unsettling.

The musical layer, composed by Ivan Pravdić, oscillates between outward and inward movement, combining pompous structures with syncopated dissonances. Together, image, sound, and text form a meditative yet disruptive inquiry into transcendence, fragmentation, and human presence.

The project is part of the subthemes Writing After – Catastrophe, Memory, and the Archive of Loss, Symbiotic Futures – Ecopoetics in the Age of Extinction, Disrupted Realities – Poetry and the Politics of Truth, Hybrid Selves – Gender, Identity, and Posthuman Intimacies.
