Poetry Expo 2026
The project consists of three poems that form a short narrative sequence and are intended to be read in the following order: Together We Can, Unexpected Meeting, and Jimmy Guitar. Together, the poems tell a cohesive story centered on a loving couple navigating personal challenges. Seeking calm and reconnection, they take a walk outdoors, where an unexpected encounter alters the course of their lives.
While the work is informed by real-life experiences related to personal and therapeutic challenges in the autumn of 2025, the narrative itself is fictional. The poems explore mutual support within relationships, emphasizing how partners can help one another through periods of difficulty, and how unforeseen moments of connection can bring positive change.
Maintaining an intentionally simple and accessible style, the project adopts an optimistic tone that foregrounds hope, solidarity, and emotional openness. Through clarity and restraint, the poems aim to communicate directly with the reader, offering a gentle affirmation of resilience and the possibility of growth through shared experience.
The project is part of the subtheme The Poetics of Care – Intimacy, Tenderness, Repair.
