Poetry Expo 25

"We stand at the crossroads of humanity. Is it going to AI, is it going back to nature? In the Romantic era, people found themselves at a fork in the road. They took the path to industrialization. During this time, poetry became more important than it had been for a long time. It repeats itself to be improved! What a great opportunity for us contemporaries!" states the author.

Jörn Gerstenberg AKA Joseph Braeus /N.N./ BERLIN SAMIZDAT publishes his poems as videos (music videos, poetic films) on social networks, allowing him to fully embrace his artistic development and respond directly to creative impulses. This approach provides a unique opportunity for global communication. Just as the advent of woodcut and letterpress technology in Europe enabled artists like Albrecht Dürer to achieve creative freedom, the author utilizes digital media to explore new artistic possibilities.

He creates both short and long videos, personally narrating his texts in various languages. Using Google Translate, he translates his poems and then speaks them, imitating the phonetic sounds of the lyrics. One of his key influences in poetry is Boris Grebenshikov from the band Aquarium. In the duo LYRIK & SOUND, he collaborates with multimedia artist Miguel Star. His primary platform is N.N.'s Channelisation on YouTube, where he publishes his work under the name @N.N.aliasJosephBraeus.

The project is part of the subthemes Technopoetics - AI, Digital Media and the Future of Creativity, Healing Narratives - Poetry, Mental Health and Collective Trauma, Poetry and the Digital Commons - New platforms, new audiences.
