Chronicles of Extinction merges the poetic voices of transnational female collective – Tre Poete – and their engagement with the themes of ecology and loss. The poetry collection proposed here dialogues with a wounded nature, but also explores the dissolution of minority languages and the fragmentation of women’s voices within the still dominating male narratives. Every section is a call-to-action vis à vis fragile ecosystems.

Collettivo Tre Poete
Collective Tre Poete features the poetic work of a transnational female trio, whose founding members are Cinzia Colazzo, Yael Merlini & Sarah Stefanutti. The three poets met in Berlin and currently live and work between Italy, Germany and other countries.
Informed by their biographical experiences of migration and nomadism, the trio focuses on the transnational individual, whose identity is highly fragmented, fluid and diasporic as her language is. Although they primarily write in Italian, their relationship with the mother tongue is a complex one as the trio adopts and adapts different languages - i.e. English, German, Italian, Yiddish - in search for a new poetic canon. The theme of poetic sisterhood emerges throughout their work as they rework and blend together texts in three voices.
