The Tale of Fera Infèri, who desired to slay and slayed
Poetry Expo 24
Fera Infèri, a nineteen-year-old from the Lombardy province, is surrounded by adversity. Her mother survives on unemployment, daily intoxication, and occasional sex. Her father, on the other hand, successfully pursues his corporate career, supporting both his wife and daughter, who live alone in an apartment far away from the mother. Fera is angry: she has few friends and a lot of rage. She is tormented by dark and malicious thoughts, against both herself and others. She cries in despair.
In August 2018, Miranda Mai seizes power in Italy with a military coup and establishes a dictatorship. After the coup, Fera Infèri voluntarily joins the regime's army and heads to the outskirts of Florence for training. There, she meets Marzia Bella, the head of the political police force known as GALS, who notices Fera's potential. Fera is selected to fight in a civil war against the resistance movement, the former Italian Feminist Party.

The project is part of the subthemes Mental health narratives in poetry.
