‘water marked’ is a poetic attempt to travel in time told through a dialogue between the author and the photo archive of his great-grandfather.

Kirils Ēcis
Kirils Ēcis (2000) is a poet and co-creator of the Latvian literature bookazine ĶĪLIS. His poems have been published in online magazines Satori and Punctum. Ēcis is one of the seven poets who is included in the young poet anthology Kā pārvarēt niezi galvaskausā [How to Overcome Itch in The Skull] published by Valters Dakša, compiled by Artis Ostups. He is a guest lecturer at the Poetry Department Art Academy of Latvia and a member of ALEJAS band. Ēcis has participated in Satori Summer School and the Literary Academy. Kirils Ēcis is currently working on his first collection of poems.
