Pavement Poets: 2022, a Year of Change
Brave New Literatures Festival
A new year is a chance to reflect on the changes we face and the changes we need. In this special edition of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest’s online Pavement Poets series, five of Trinidad and Tobago’s most talented spoken word poets — Derron Sandy, Dominique Friday, Kyle Hernandez, Gabrielle Murray, and Kleon McPherson — share their hopes, concerns, and inspirations for 2022, from the miracle of a newborn daughter to going “back to basics.”
In order of appearance:
Derron Sandy — "Immortal"
Dominique Friday — "The Assignment"
Kyle Hernandez — "All Kinda Change"
Gabrielle Murray — "Point of View"
Kleon McPherson with Franz Job — "Playground Rhymes"
