Two literary partners from Flanders are the creative minds behind the organization:
Poëziecentrum (member of Versopolis since 2013) is a renowned poetry hub located in the heart of Ghent. Established in 1980, it stands as a unique institution in Flanders and the Netherlands, serving as a centre of knowledge and expertise on Dutch-language poetry and translations of poetry from around the world. Within the walls of its historic medieval guild house, you'll find a poetry bookstore, a publishing house, a library, the Poëziekrant magazine, and a dedicated team organizing events and educational programs. www.poeziecentrum.be
VONK & Zonen is a young and dynamic literary production house based in Antwerp, founded in 2013. They are driven by a passion for words and creativity, fostering their own projects and providing a welcoming platform for the ideas of poets, dreamers, and artists alike. De Studio, located in the heart of Antwerp, is the venue. It is an arts hub offering a wide range of artistic events. Visitors of all ages are welcome to enjoy theater, film, music, literature, dance, talks, and much more. All of this takes place in a beautiful, historic building with a remarkable past.
It was formerly known as Studio Herman Teirlinck, a renowned drama school.
