Cécile Wajsbrot

was born in Paris in 1954 in a jewish polish family. She writes mostly novels but also essays. Since ten years she has been working on a five novels cycle about art – creation, reception. Four of which have been published in France, one, Eclipse, this year in Germany. She lives both in Paris and Berlin and has just received this November the prize of the Académie de Berlin. She is now chairwoman of the Maison des écrivains et de la littérature in Paris.
