These were the words he heard

The most of in his life:

With pleasure, certainly, right away, sir,

It’s an honour, nice to see you,

I’m honoured, truly kind of you

(In all possible numbers, genders, declensions),

With utmost pleasure, I’ll bring it right away,

Would you like some more, may I invite You

(Usually Mr., sometimes informally, seldom too fancy),

Don’t leave yet, come on, stay a while,

Here, take this, and this if for the gentleman,

How noble of you, welcome,

Please, come again, we’ll take care of it

(Consistently benevolent, bright,

With velvety voices, soft and earnest),

After you, heeey, come in,

Please, nice to see you, meow,

What would I do without you, thank you, thank you,

I won’t forget you.

And you know how it is with me.

Katere besede je v življenju

najpogosteje slišal:

z veseljem, vsekakor, takoj gospod,

v čast mi je, lepo vas je videti,

počaščen sem, zares prijazno od vas,

(v vseh mogočih številih, spolih, sklonih)

z največjim veseljem, v hipu prinesem,

bi še malo, jih smem povabiti,

(vikanje, redko tikanje, izjemoma onikanje)

nikar še ne odidite, ostani no še malo,

izvoli, nate, tole je pa za gospoda,

kakšna plemenitost, dobrodošli,

oglasite se še, za to bomo že poskrbeli,

(dosledno benevolentno, svetlo,

žametni glasovi, mehki in iskreni)

za vami, ooo, kar naprej,

prosim, lepo vas je videti, mijau,

kaj bi jaz brez tebe, hvala, hvala,

ne bom vas pozabila.

Kako pa je z mano, veš.
