As the summer falls apart
into this summer crept frailty
of an old woman, everything cracks inexplicably
slowly, fiber threads give in
messily and succinctly.
the air in the room cracks
it falls apart like a mosaic tiny parts
injure those present they cut up the furniture
the freshly lacquered wood flooring.
one needs to get insurance reinforce
all that is movable and jointed
beat old age
the desire for a cold handrail
something firm from a craftsman's workshop.
sun therapy helps
feeding the bones with light
walking very far helps when
legs forget where they are headed.
the voice falls apart it
cannot even overcome
a small distance
from itself to the paper on the table.
everything cracks without forewarning
the hand starts writing a word
it cracks on the first letter
before it even got a chance
to be remembered.
