Felix Festival is coming to town

For the 9th time in the row the poets from here and there will come together in Antwerp for the Felix Poetry Festival. The audience will be able to enjoy two days and two evenings (1st and 9th June 2017) in the company of poets, slammers, rappers and performers from Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, United kingdom, Slovakia, LIthuania; US, ...

The prelude to the festival will happen on 22nd May with a hommage to the late Belgian poet Herman de Coninck. His widow, renowned writer Kristien Hemmerechts selected his most beautiful poems and letters, which will be presented at the event.

On 1st June the festival is moving to Felixpakhuis, where everyone is invited for the reading of seven Versopolis poets: Pernilla Berglund, Renate Aichinger, Aivaras Veiknys, Harry Man, Maria Ferencuhova, Charlotte Van den Broeck and Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer.
This reading is organized in cooperation between Antwerpen Boekenstad and Poëziecentrum from Ghent.

A week later Antwerp will become a capital of slam, spoken word and rap. Seckou, local slam poet, compiled a wild, spicy programme full of surprises, that wil wait for you to discover them on 9th June in Het Bos in Antwerp. There was never a better time to visit Antwerp than this June!
