Austrian Versopolis poet Sophie Reyer has just published a new novel titled „Der kleine Mann aus Salz“ (little man made of salt). This new book is a fairy tale, full of fantasy, written for all of us. The world of this little man made of salt is a dream world, full of newly fantasized figures, but somehow we seem to know them all. This little man made of salt lives on an island and one day gets to know the stranded protagonist of the novel. They get in closer contact and one day the little man made of salt finally finds his redemption. And suddenly the fantasy-like figures of the salt-man’s tales become real components of the stranded man’s extraordinary life on this lonely island. What seemed to be incredible, is really existing. Und suddenly, like in reality, the dream is over. But was it only a dream?
1984 born Sophie Reyer has published various books of different literary genre so far and she has been awarded various prices and scholarships for her work.
