With the event to remember the great Lithuanian writer Jurgs Kunčinas on Monday evening in Užupis cafe, the XXVII Druskininkai Poetic Fall festival said goodbye until next year. Many different events took place, many guests visited Vilnius and Druskininkai. We had eighteen foreign guests this year in the Festival, readings in Vilnius and Druskininkai, discussion on theme “Poetry: Local and Global Contexts”, program for children, performances.
Four VERSOPOLIS poets participated in readings in Druskininkai and Vilnius – Veronika Dintinjana (Slovenia), Tiziano Fratus (Italy), Aurélia Lassaque (France), Julia Szychowiak (Poland).
The books by all four poets were published in traditional Lithuanian colorful way, also all invited VERSOPOLIS poets were presented in the Anthology of Druskininkai Poetic Fall.
Aurélia Lassaque (France) also read in the presentation of Anthology, she met with students in Druskininkai school, she will have readings Tuesday evening in Writers’ Union café Salionas.
