Three Ledbury Films

Miniatures directed by Toni Cook

The Festival celebrates 20 years with the launch of three films focused on the Festival, the Schools and Community Programmes.

The three films have been made with funding from the Elmley Foundation, who have been key supporters of the Festival since its inception. The films are beautiful, cinematic illustrations of the Festival. The main film uses haiku spoken by poets, volunteers and shopkeepers of Ledbury who make the Festival the magical experience that it is for many people. The other two films detail the work the Festival does in local schools and the community.

The films were directed by Toni Cook, who had previously worked on the “Life Loves to Change” project, and filmed by mediaShypp  who are part of SHYPP. Toni has an instinctive understanding of people, and a beautiful visual eye. They only had 6 minutes with Michael Palin, and managed to get him performing on camera perfectly. MediaSHYPP works with vulnerable young people, training them in media skills, as well as providing sheltered housing.
